The horse theft
M chose a good move and was not Check Mate.
He followed Själagårdsgatan further down, passing a school seen on the right side, and then he reached another small open space. A horse just stood there without any owner. Or let´s say the owner was inside a shop or so. Anyway, M just simply stole the horse.
Nowadays there is a statue here. If you read on the label you may see what the statue is all about but that information is not correct. Actually, the statue shows how M climbs up on the horse after stealing it since that is what happened here. The label also tells you the year when the statue was raised (REST in Swedish). That is true but by coincidence that was exactly 200 years after this murder case happened. Like a celebration!
